"The intended use of the cabin was to be a multifunctional space. In the house, obviously, everyone's got a living room, a kitchen, dining room. And whilst they double up for other things, they have to return back to whatever that room is usually at the end of the day. So, we wanted a space that isn’t the living room or the dining room — where we could set up different areas or zones of working.
We have an exercise area or gaming area. The girls — or my boy — they come up here, they do yoga, they use weights, they work out.
It’s also a great space for VR work, modelling or whatever else. You have an opportunity in the space to create something, move around it, look at it.
I have a working area, a socialising or conference area. I also have electric guitars. Once a week a mate of mine comes around and we literally clear this area, we put the amplifiers in — and because it’s away from the house, we’re able to turn it up to 11.
So that was really the purpose — we wanted a multifunctional space which we didn’t have to pack away."
