Kirsty & Steve's Bespoke Garden Bar

Kirsty and Steve's 5m x 3m garden room has been transformed into a stylish garden bar and entertainment space, complete with comfortable seating and plenty of room for hosting family and friends. Designed to compliment the surrounding garden, the building combines warm cedar cladding with our slate grey Marley board. And the result is a room that feels welcoming and full of character.

A Striking Hybrid Cladding Design

The front and right-hand side of the garden room are finished in oiled cedar, bringing warmth and natural texture to the exterior. Slate Grey Marley Board has been used across the back and left elevations, creating a practical, low-maintenance finish in areas that are less visible.

Black window and door frames, fascia boards and roof details provide a strong contrast against the timber. With a front overhang,  integrated with spotlights it adds another architectural detail while providing some shelter around the entrance.

A 1.5m covered veranda extends from the right-hand side of the building. Supported by cedar posts and illuminated with spotlights, it creates a sheltered area that connects the garden bar with the wider outdoor space.

Designed to feel Open and Welcoming

Three full-length windows have been positioned across the front of the garden room, allowing plenty of natural light into the interior and offering clear views across the garden.

A large sliding door on the right-hand side opens directly onto the veranda, helping the indoor and outdoor areas flow together. Two smaller opening windows provide additional ventilation without compromising the available wall space inside.

Composite decking runs across the entire front of the building, extending to 6.5m in length. This gives the garden room a generous entrance area while providing space for planters and outdoor seating.

A Garden Room Made for Entertaining

Every part of this bespoke garden bar has been designed to make the most of the available space.

The combination of large windows, sliding doors, a covered veranda and an extended deck helps the building feel connected to the garden, while the fully finished interior provides a comfortable setting throughout the year.

From relaxed afternoons in the garden to drinks and evenings with friends, Kirsty and Steve’s cabin is a brilliant example of how a garden room can become a genuine extension of the home.

How Have They Decorated Their Bar in the Garden?

The walls are finished in a combination of Grey Lace and the deeper City Break shade, creating a subtle feature wall without making the room feel dark. Light Chestnut laminate flooring introduces warmth and complements the natural tones of the cedar exterior.

A personalised neon sign takes pride of place behind the bar, alongside drinks dispensers and a countertop drinks machine. The compact bar layout leaves plenty of space for a large rattan dining set, additional seating and decorative touches throughout the room.

A ceiling-mounted projector also turns the cabin into a flexible entertainment room, making it suitable for watching films, sporting events or enjoying an evening with friends.
