John's Garden Games Room

John was looking for something special to complete his home upgrades – a space that complemented the beautiful Derbyshire countryside views from his garden. A bespoke Cabin Master garden cabin provided the perfect solution, blending into the surroundings while adding a standout feature to his home.

Originally, John expected the cabin to be used occasionally, perhaps at weekends. Instead, it quickly became a space the family uses every day. Designed as a garden entertainment room, it’s filled with activities like pool, table tennis, darts, and air hockey – bringing everyone together for fun, laughter, and a bit of friendly competition.

How Does The Cabin Impact Family Time?

"We use it every day. We've been having a game of pool or table tennis or darts or air hockey. And we've had a round robin tournament every night since we've got it."

"So, I've got two daughters.  So we find ourselves in there giggling, laughing, you know, all the time. It is absolutely amazing. I've been sort of quite overwhelmed by sort of how it's brought us together as a family rather than, you know, everybody sat in different rooms doing things. It's now made us think about things that we can do"

"So, the reason we went for this cabin, which is a 5x3m building, is that we love the modern look. So the house is very traditional, but actually, we wanted this to be deliberately nice and modern and long-lasting and durable. So certainly our research told us, this is something that's going to look after itself. It's going to be long-lasting and we won't have to do a lot to it. And aesthetically it looks absolutely fantastic."

It was absolutely amazing. We must have looked at 10 different varieties of cabins. But seeing them on site fully in the show site was great."

"So, when I'm in the cabin, it's just a nice feeling. I feel I'm outdoors. You know, we're out in this beautiful Derbyshire countryside. This feels like it's an extra room in our house. It gives me that sort of sense of freedom. And of course, we've got the amazing views over to sort of Chatsworth House and Derbyshire and sort of beyond. So, again, I think it lends itself to sort of that outdoor sort of relaxation as well. It's been a wonderful addition to our family. "

To build our insulated garden rooms, we make use of only the best raw materials and building components, and fully qualified local contractors.

  • Timber: Forest Stewardship Council-approved timber suppliers.
  • Roofing: For flat roofs, we use high-performance EPDM rubber roofing. For sloping roofs we use Kerbit SBS roofing shingles.
  • Doors & Windows: Double glazed, energy efficient uPVC doors and windows for peak energy efficiency.
  • Insulation: High quality silver-backed foam insulation from Celotex, Kingspan, Extratherm or similar.
  • Finishing: FSC approved MDF interior boards with Neatmatch damp resistant coating.

Bespoke designs

Our design team are on hand to turn your new garden room vision into a reality. Your ideas and sketches are transformed into a 3D drawing, which is then perfected until you are 100% happy. The design is then sent to our factory, where your new building is manufactured.

When you order your new garden room, we will arrange a convenient delivery and installation schedule, with an affordable quote tailored to your needs. The cost of delivery and fitting depends on the size of your building, where you live, the transportation distance and how many people you need to set up your building.
