For Craig and Kate, their bespoke garden room wasn't simply about creating extra space. It was about bringing a lifelong passion back to life.

What was once a collection hidden away in the loft has become the centrepiece of a dedicated entertainment room, where over 40 years of He-Man history can finally be enjoyed every day.

From movie nights together to displaying treasured collectibles, their garden room has become a space that celebrates both nostalgia and family time.

Why Invest in A Garden Room?

“Growing up in the 80s, I'd managed to get a number of He-Man toys, but then over the years, we tended to lose some of the toys and the play things that we'd had. The collection was just stored in the loft, literally gathering dust. Now, we're in a position where we're fortunate enough to be able to start collecting again. So, we were looking for a space to really house my He-Man collection."

 

"These toys are over 40 years old and there's a lot of history in there. There's certain things that you probably will never see again. The future plans we have are to complete the collection and get more merchandise, visit more toy shows, see what else there is that we've not seen yet that we can have in here... we might need another cabin."

 

"Being able to bring it down and put it into the bookcases, the shelves, and everything that we've got around us now means that we can live in Eternia, which is He-Man's homeland."

How has the cabin Improved Family Time?

 

"I feel that the cabin has added extra to us as a family and as a couple. We come down and we watch films together, so we're spending a lot more time together in the evening rather than just sitting in the house."

"I also think it gives us a more flexible space. Other people that have had conservatories have found them to be too hot in the summer, and too cold in the winter, so they turn into storage spaces that people can't actually use. Whereas this is going to be used most days."

"And being apart from the house and the noise and the hustle and the bustle, even though you're only at the bottom of the garden, it is a different space."
